While browsing around the list of features in YouTube I stumbled across an interesting one. I found out that you can make a custom player of one of your playlists and generate the code to show it on your own page. Let’s see how it works.
Medans jag kolladelite bland features på Youtube så hittade jag en intressant. Du kan nu skapa en personlig spelare utifrån någon av dina playlists.
My current experiment is to see if I can actually make any money from blogging. So far, after a few days of using Google Adsense, I am closing in on $2!!! Well, the nice part about this is that I havn’t done a lot of work, except installing everything wich took an evening of fun internet research.
So, if you want to help me with this experience, just click on adds on this page =D If you don’t use Firefox I suggest you click the link to the left and install it…that gives me $1!
This is posted through MSN messenger using the service imified.com. It’s the same server I use to update my twitter status through MSN. Not the most advanced function in the world but just the fact that it works gives it a pretty high score. [rating:4.5]
FoxyTunes is a very well made plugin that lets you control your media through Firefox. With a small bar at the bottom of your browser you can control Winamp, Mediaplayer or any media player ranging from Mediaplayer Classic to Xbox Mediacenter. You are also connected to the FoxyTunes database wich lets you find out more about the artist you are listening to with just a few clicks. You can find lyrics, videos on youtube and much more. Another nice feature I wasn’t ready for is a button that was added to WordPress that adds the current song you are listening to as a signature in the post you are writing. (example below) With the extra little plugin TwittyTunes you are also just a click away from twitting about what you are listening to or watching.

After the last review I found another widget to use with twitter. This widget has a lot of options, like twitting your blogposts, blogging your tweets or even blog a daily digest of your tweets. It also lets you update your Twitter status directly from your sidebar. Unlike the other widget this one has an intuitive install and works like a charm.

Facebook notes had a nifty little feature that lets you import your blogs RSS feed as note entries. The link for this is on your right side while in the notes section of Facebook. One drawback to this is that the comments to those entries in Facebook won’t be viewable in your blog. Still it’s a very nice feature.

Wordbook is a nice little plugin that allows you to crosspost your WordPress posts to your Facebook profile. You simply install the WordPress plugin and activate it and follow the instructions that takes you through the intergration process. It’s all very simple and elegant and in the end you have a feed of your posts in your Facebook profile =) This plugin does what it sets out to do and does it well. I do hope for some more features in the future, like publishing your Facebook notes in WordPress but it’s a really well made plugin.

I’ve just installed the Star Rating plugin to help me show you what I like and what I dislike. I find the instructions on the plugins webpage to be well written and the installation was painless. It’s possible to get a lot more advanced features but it takes some work to get it done. Even though I’m not a big fan of tag based plugins (that means that I have to type in a tag where I want the rating to be shown) I felt that being able to choose where to show the rating was more important then the ease of a click based system. Based on the ease of installation and the possibility for customisation I really like this plugin and I think I’ll be using it a lot. I deduct one point because of the work that needs to be done to customise it.
