Internetbetalningar – Payson

Huuto.net, den största auktionssiten i Finland, har i dagarna valt att använda den svenska betaltjänsten Payson som betallösning. Själv har jag inte provat Internetbetalning hos Payson utan tidigare använt mig av Paypal och innan dess Netteller. Då jag nyligen övergivit Paypal så skapade jag mig ett konto hos Payson och funderar på att prova att koppla mitt företag till deras betaltjänst också.

Något jag verkligen gillar är tanken bakom vad de kallar Paysongarantin. I korthet går det ut på att pengarna tar paus hos Payson i väntan på att köpet godkänts av köparen. Detta ger en trygghet för både köpare och säljare då ingen kan ta pengar eller vara och försvinna.

Mitt första intryck av Payson som betaltjänst är mycket positivt. Sidan är mycket mer intuitiv än andra tjänster jag har provat och de erbjuder trygga och enkla metoder att både ta betalt och betala via Internet. Tjänsten vänder sig både till privatpersoner som vill skicka och ta emot pengar och företag som vill ge kunder ett tryggt och enkelt alternativ till att använda betalkort.

När jag har provat tjänsten en period återkommer jag med en mer utförlig genomgång av hur det fungerar och en bedömning av hur bra det har fungerat för mig.

Mobile + mail = free Twitter everywhere – reviews

I don’t tweet through my mobile much since here in Sweden it costs to much to send an SMS to a UK number every time you want to update Twitter. Now I just might start =) I’ve found two services that makes it possible for me to update twitter through mail wich makes it very cheap to update from my mobile.

Mail2Twitter

First I found the Mail2Twitter service wich worked well enough. It updated my status and all I had to do was to mail their mailaddress with my username and….password…in the status and my tweet in the body. It worked but it took 5 min to update and I wasn’t really comfortable sending my password everytime I wanted to tweet.

EmailTwitter

Luckily for me I found a second service as well. EmailTwitter has the same service as Mail2Twitter but with a few additions. First of all you can register your Twitter and mail details on their webpage and then you don’t have to send your password when mailing anymore…big bonus. Also EmailTwitter only took 40 seconds to update my twitter status! As if that wasn’t good enough you can also get your timeline or your private messages sent to you easily.

Blogging from MSN

This is posted through MSN messenger using the service imified.com. It’s the same server I use to update my twitter status through MSN. Not the most advanced function in the world but just the fact that it works gives it a pretty high score.

Twitter + MSN = Twessenger – review

Doesn’t anyone follow you on Twitter? It doesn’t help that you have your twitter status both on your Facebook and in your Wordpress blog? Well now you can finally show your tweets to the world through your MSN status msg =) This application does something I have been waiting for since I started with Twitter and it does it well. One small drawback is that the install is a tad bit complicated but luckily the readme file explains all very well.

FoxyTunes + TwittyTunes – Reviews

FoxyTunes is a very well made plugin that lets you control your media through Firefox. With a small bar at the bottom of your browser you can control Winamp, Mediaplayer or any media player ranging from Mediaplayer Classic to Xbox Mediacenter. You are also connected to the FoxyTunes database wich lets you find out more about the artist you are listening to with just a few clicks. You can find lyrics, videos on youtube and much more. Another nice feature I wasn’t ready for is a button that was added to WordPress that adds the current song you are listening to as a signature in the post you are writing. (example below) With the extra little plugin TwittyTunes you are also just a click away from twitting about what you are listening to or watching.

Firefox + Twitter merge – reviews

Where do you spend most of your online time? For me it’s the webbrowser and thus I’m happy that I now can twit very easily directly from Firefox. I also have a nice sidebar with all my friends’ tweets. This is a plugin I recomend for all that is or want to be twitting on a regular basis.

BlogRovR

BlogRovR is a multitool. One one hand it is capable of fetching blogposts about whatever page you are visiting, on the other hand it is an easy way to tweet about whatever page you are visiting. It lacks the feature of watching your friends tweets so I won’t be using it as much as TwitBin.

Tweet your Facebook status

I’ve stumbled across a page that describes how to use the service twitterfeed to update your Facebook status. It only updates every 30 minutes (less frequently is available as an option) but atleast there is a way.

Xfire profile @ Facebook – review

Not much of a review as a mention really. There is an Facebook application that allows you to show off your xfire profile. It shows if you are online, how much you have played your favourite game this week and ever. Nothing fantastic but still nice.

Chess.com on Facebook – review

Chess.com is a great page to play chess online for free and the Facebook chess application are now supported by the chess.com engine. We can look forward to more features like tournaments, better chat system and better javascript for the graphics. Due to the lack of intuitivity when starting out I can’t give this application a top score but if you like chess it’s definatly worth installing and wrapping your head around.

Edit: I took away half a star after realising that the engine on Facebook isn’t connected to that on chess.com and thus you can’t play against oponents on chess.com.
