More Picasa implementation in Facebook =) This is a simple and nice little plugin that allows you to display your Picasa albums in your profile. It’s all very easy to use =) It would get a higher rating if it could actually show the album directly in facebook instead of linking you to Picasa.

The installation of the slideshow presented a small problem, the embed slideshow link wasn’t available in the swedish version of Picasa and I had to switch to english to be able to complete the installation. Other then that it worked like a charm. I might have wanted the option to have the slideshow autostarting without having to click on it but that’s just a minor feature request.

If you don’t want to create your albums on the Picasa website, or perhaps you have used up your 1GB quota, you got the option to do it directly to your Facebook using Picasas wonderful application.
You simply install the application on Facebook, download a file to the “Buttons” folder of your Picasa installation and now you got a button in your Picasa wich lets you upload pictures directly to Facebook. This all works very handy and I really got nothing to complain about. The reason for the high score is because while Facebook have no limits on how many photos you can upload. The only limitation is that you can only have 60 photos in each album. Also Wordpress has plugins to import photos from Facebook as well as Picasa.

I just started using Picasa today. I downloaded the sofware and let it search through my computer for pictures. I then proceded to create a webalbum with my best pictures from our trip to the Azores. The pictures was devided into several different folders but this was no problem for Picasa and it just cued all uploads. Uploading 62 photos was no problem at all and I created my first album in less then ten minutes. I find the system to be rather intuative even thought he webpage itself is rather boring and uninspiring. The program might make googles’ Picasa the best webbased picture collection on the net. The boring webpage is the only thing that keeps it from getting a full score.
